Indo-Pak nuclear war possible: American Think Tank

Washington/New Delhi: Pakistan’s nuclear weapons are a major threat to South Asia. This can lead an ordinary war to a nuclear war. This was warned by an American Think Tank report. The report went on to say that the terrorists groups could possibly have access to the nuclear weapons. Atlantic council in its report ‘Asia in second nuclear age’ stated that Pakistan, it seems, has not started its project on nuclear weapon scheme. The report further stated that though Pakistan has not informed the world about its nuclear weapons, but its weapons could be a greatest threat to the peace of South Asia.

If war occurs then it may turn into nuclear war. The report claims that nuclear weapons are developed on large scale in the region but the big question is who is looking after their security and how it is being done? as there is a big question on the organisations controlling them.

According to the report, the integration of Pakistan is also a big question. During the last 40 years, Pakistan has not been in good relations with its neighbouring states. It was at war with India and Afghanistan. The report also claimed that Pakistan is busy trying to create disturbances in Afghanistan and India. The report also said that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons could also be stolen. It further warned that the nuclear command and control can fail anytime.
