New York: An array of eminent journalists and media experts from the US, Canada, India, Australia and the UAE will hold an International Media Conference organised by the Indo-American Press Club (IAPC) here from Oct 9-12.
The conference at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre in Ronkonkoma, Long Island will be inaugurated on Saturday.
It offers an excellent platform to the delegates for networking and learning, according to a media release.
It is designed as a uniquely valuable professional development opportunity, featuring educational seminars and workshops, discussing and analyzing new trends and methods with a rare insight into the work of media across the world, it said.
A high-profile public meeting and gala banquet is scheduled on Sunday evening.
Social activist Daya Bai will be honoured with the IAPC International Sathkarma Award, Boby Chemmanur, philanthropist/entrepreneur with IAPC International Sathbhavana Award and V.K. Ebrahimkunju, minister for public works, Kerala, with the IAPC Minister of Excellence Award.
Topics such as News Reporting and Writing Techniques, Exploring Social and Environmental Causes through Documentaries, Politics and Media, Social Media Impact on Journalism, Live Streaming, Social Activism as a Way of Life, Freedom of Expression, will be addressed by experts in their fields during the seminars and workshops.
The Indo-American Press Club provides an effective platform for Indian American journalists and media professionals to associate and network with a sense of belonging, according to the release.
