IndiGo launches its First ever International Operations to Hyderabad from Dubai!

IndiGo, India’s premier airline launched its new daily flight on the Dubai-Hyderabad sector today, with an Airbus-320 aircraft. The new Dubai-Hyderabad flight will be IndiGo Airlines’ first international service to Hyderabad, and its first service from Dubai to Southern India.

The first flight landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from Dubai at 11.05 hrs today and received a traditional water canon salute welcome at the airport in the presence of RGIA and IndiGo Airlines officials.

This Dubai–Hyderabad–Dubai service will mark a new milestone for GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), as this service connects RGIA with Dubai and the Middle East with one more flight.

As per the schedule, this new flight, 6E-25 will depart Dubai at 05.35 hrs (local time) and arrive at Hyderabad at 11.05 hrs. Again, 6E-26, the departure flight from Hyderabad will leave RGIA at 13.20 hrs, and arrive at Dubai at 15.45 hrs (local time).

In keeping with Hyderabad’s rising prominence as India’s aviation and business hub, RGIA also emphasizes in a constant spree of developmental activities to cater to the needs of its passengers. RGIA, India’s first Greenfield public-private partnership in the Indian airport infrastructure sector is equipped with one of the country’s longest runways and state-of-the-art passenger terminal, air traffic control and cargo infrastructure. RGIA is designed to eventually handle over 40 million passengers and 1 million metric tons of cargo in the years to come.

On the occasion Mr Vikram Jaisinghani, Chief Executive Officer-GHIAL said, “With more than 500,000 Telugu people in United Arab Emirates, this new service will enhance connectivity between Dubai and Hyderabad. To add, with the introduction of this new Hyderabad–Dubai service, IndiGo will operate 4 daily flights on India-Dubai routes including two daily flights on Delhi-Dubai-Delhi and a flight on Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai sector.
