In yet another shocking incident of crime against Indians abroad, an Indian student was shot dead by his fellow students in Boston University.
The victim, K Sheshadri Rao, was allegedly dragged out of his hostel room by his fellow students on Thursday night and shot dead.
Rao, who hails from Odisha was pursuing MBA. The family of the victim said that they were informed about the incident by the Indian Counsel General only by Friday afternoon.
“On Thursday night at 2:30 am, my son was dragged out of his room by his fellow students who later shot him dead on the main road,” said K Sudhakar Rao, father of the victim. “Consul General is in Boston and presently in talks with Boston University. I have been asking him to send the dead body,” he said.
The officials of Boston University have assured complete cooperation in investigation with Boston police.
