Indian Muslims don’t let their children get radicalised by ISIS: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) can never strengthen it’s hold in India due to the country’s strong cultural and traditional values.

“I am very sure ISIS can’t ever strengthen a hold in India, I hold our strong cultural and traditional values responsible for this,” Rajnath said while addressing a public meeting here.

Singh had said the activities of the dreaded terrorist group ISIS have been witnessed in India. He had put emphasis on better coordination between the central and state agencies to check the threat of ISIS, saying the terror group has been trying to enhance its foothold in India’s neighbourhood — Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

“As Home Minister, I want to tell you that Indian Muslims are the ones who don’t let their children get influenced or radicalised by ISIS,” he added.
