Mumbai, Aug. 20 : Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan has said that the Indian economy is showing signs of improvement.
Rajan, who was speaking at an event in Mumbai, said one might see rural demand coming back more strongly and added that this would be a tremendous bonus to the economy.
The RBI Governor also downplayed concerns about depreciation of Chinese currency, saying the devaluation of the Chinese Yuan was not something to be ‘concerned’ about at current levels.
Rajan, however, added that global central banks depreciating currencies as a policy action was a worrisome trend. (ANI)
