Indian American Council denounces Afrazul’s killing, asks to put a bridle on RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP

Washington: Indian American Muslim Council has expressed strong grief and anger on the brutal killing of a Muslim labour Afrazul Islami of West Bengal in the name of ‘Love Jihad’ in Rajasthan. In a statement the council said, ‘we are surprised over the dangerous level of hatred and violence prevalent in India especially in Rajasthan, which is rising day by day. National President Indian American Muslim Council, Ihsaan Khan urged Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje to ensure life security to citizens, irrespective of religion, community and caste.

The council also demanded to put a bridle on organisations like RSS, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad, which are spreading hatred against Muslims.

The Council stated that 4 incidents of barbaric killings have occurred during the past 9 months. At first the gaurakshaks killed Pehlu Khan, after that, civic officials beat Zafar Hussain to death. Then gaurakshaks brutally killed Mohammed Umar and now the cold-blooded murder of Afrazul.

The Council said that the criminals are emboldened because the state administration failed to prosecute them effectively.
