Indian Air force’s Sukhoi-30 jet goes off radar near Tezpur in Assam with two Pilots on Board

Assam: In a routine operation conducted near China border, a Sukhoi-30 jet with two Air force pilots on board has gone missing this morning near the Tezpur area in Assam, said the Air force sources.

Around 9.30 am the Jet took off for its routine check and went off the radar near Doulasang area of Arunachal Pradesh, a border area with neighboring country China.

The last contact with the aircraft was made at 11.30am when the jet was nearly 60kms north of Tezpur in Assam. The Tezpur Air force station is located at a distance of 172 km from the border of neighboring country China.

Last year in March, Sukhoi-30 aircraft crashed near an air base in Barmer district in Rajasthan with both the Pilots ejected from the aircraft safely. This was the third crash of the Sukhoi-30 jet a frontal aircraft of the Air force in Rajasthan, as reported in NDTV.
