New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that India will remain an inclusive and accommodative society.
Addressing the gathering at the Christmas celebrations under the auspices of the Catholics Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) here, Singh said that India has always welcomed all religions with open arms.
“Christianity arrived in India almost the same time when it spread to Europe,” he added.
The Union Home Minister said the attacks on Churches in Delhi and elsewhere in the recent past were an aberration and he wondered why these series of attacks happened only around the election time.
Singh conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured the religious leaders that the Government is fully committed to maintain peace and communal harmony in the country.
Rajnath Singh added that he is also personally available to resolve any of their grievances at any time. (ANI)
