Vrindavan (Mathura), Sept. 20 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said India wants a cordial relationship with all its neighbours.
“Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to say that we should have good relations with all our neighbours, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also believes in the same,” he said.
Addressing a BJP workers’ meeting at Vrindavan town in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, he expressed confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would form the government in Bihar. He added that the BJP’s next mission after Bihar would be Uttar Pradesh.
The former BJP president lauded the efforts of his party workers for the NDA’s victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
“Nobody would have ever imagined that there would be a party that could form a non-Congress government at the Centre. But you (party workers) have changed the political landscape of India by ensuring that the BJP forms a government at the Centre by securing an absolute majority,” he said.
Hailing the functioning of the government, Singh told the party workers that they could proudly say that the nation was doing well on all fronts under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He asked his party men to ensure that the government’s popularity does not remain confined to India but transcends all boundaries. (ANI)
