Karachi, Nov 4 : A US congressional report has said that India’s goals in Afghanistan are to block Pakistan’s strategic depth and deny the latter’s ability to hamper India’s trade connections in Central Asia and beyond.
According to the Dawn, the report on Afghanistan, which is prepared as research and reference material for US lawmakers, includes a brief description of India’s Afghan policies.
The report by the Congressional Research Service also notes that US- Pakistan relations, which deteriorated after the 2011 Abbottabad raid had improved.
