Tendulkar (39) moved to his right attempting to play Malinga’s yorker fine but missed it completely to be given lbw. Could possibly be his last innings in Australia. Score: 86/2
Over 6.2: Out! Virender Sehwag holed out to Dilshan at mid-on.
Sehwag (30) was charging at the Lankans with a strike rate of 200 but mistimed Maharoof’s shortish delivery to be caught by Dilshan at mid-on. Score: 54/1
Over 5: Sehwag and Tendulkar gave India a strong start as they were in pursuit of overhauling Sri Lankan total in 40 overs. Score: 48/0
Over 1: Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar opened up the batting for India as Lasith Malinga kissed the cherry to began proceedings for Sri Lanka.
Highlights from the Sri Lankan innings
Over 50: Sri Lankan batsmen put up a terrific effort in the middle to set India a target of 321 runs to win. India need to achieve this within 40 overs to be left with any chance of qualifying for the finals.
Over 48.5: Out! Big-hitting Angelo Mathews fell to Zaheer.
Mathews(14) tried slogging Zaheer towards leg but Ashwin took a good tumbling, low catch to give Khan his first wicket of the match. Score: 309/4
Over 47.3: 300 up for Sri Lanka
Over 45.3: Out! Thisara Perera attempted a cheeky double but was found short of his crease to be given run out.
Dilshan played one towards long-on and took off for a single. Perera, however, wanted more as he fancied a second off Sachin Tendulkar’s throw. However, the veteran pulled off a good effort by throwing it flat to Praveen Kumar at non-striker’s end as Perera was adjudged run out. Score: 279/3
Over 43.2: Out! Praveen finally ended Sangakkara’s innings.
Praveen Kumar attempted a Yorker that Sanga(105) tried taking on the full. The ball ended up crashing onto the stumps to finally give Indian bowlers a breakthrough. Score: 249/2
Over 42.4: Following Dilshan, Sangakkara too completed his century against India in 84 deliveries.
Unlike Dilshan, Sanga played a fluent knock hitting eight boundaries and two sixes. He too had gotten off to promising starts but failed to convert them into bigger score. But on Tuesday, he was at his classical best, and joined his former captain to build a 200-run stand to drive Lankan innings.
Over 40.2: Tillakaratne Dilshan played a calm innings to reach his 11th century of ODI career.
It was an uncharacteristic innings from Dilshan unlike his image of being a hard hitting top order batsman. The start to his innings was a restrained one but he gradually built upon, looking determined to stay on crease and hitting bowlers for occasional boundaries.
Over 38.1: 200 up for Sri Lanka and a century partnership between Dilshan and Sangakkara.
Over 37: Sri Lanka were in total control after a sedate start with Dilshan and Sangakkara hitting fifties to drive Sri Lankan innings forward. Indian bowlers failed to make any inroads except for the wicket of Jayawardene in the twelfth over. Score: 191/1
Over 33: Batting powerplay taken and Dhoni brought Zaheer Khan back into the attack. Score: 150/1.
Over 31.1 Sangakkara reached his first fifty of the CB series with a boundary off Sehwag, played straight down the ground.
Over 21.5: 50 up for Dilshan. It is his second of the series and came with a boundary off Ashwin. With this the Sri Lankan score crossed 100-run mark.

Over 12: Out! Jadeja removed Mahela Jayawardene.
Mahela (22) tried playing a late cut but somehow forgot there was a slip. He ended up gifting his wicket to Ravindra Jadeja as Virender Sehwag took a nice catch. Score: 49/1
Over 11: First bowling change for India. Umesh Yadav introduced into the attack.
Over 4.5: First six of the day. Mahela Jayawardene again skipped down the track playing a controlled shot over long-on boundary for a six.
Over 2.2: First boundary of the day. Mahela Jayawardene charged down the track dispatching Zaheer Khan over mid-on for a boundary.
Over 1: Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardene took guard for Sri Lanka as Zaheer Khan opened up bowling for India.
