India, US sign ‘exchange of terrorist screening information arrangement’

New Delhi : An arrangement between the authorized governmental agencies of the Government of India and United States of America (USA) for exchange of terrorist screening information was signed here today.

The arrangement was signed by the Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi and Richard Verma, Ambassador of the United States of America to India.

As per this arrangement, both sides shall provide each other access to terrorism screening information through the de signated contact points, subject to domestic laws and regulations.

The arrangement would enhance the counter terrorism cooperation between India and USA. (ANI)
