New Delhi, Sept.19 : The Indian duo of Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes suffered a straight-set defeat at the hands of Czech Republic pair of Radek Stepanek and Adam Pavlasek, thus leaving India trailing 1-2 against the visitors in the doubles match of the Davis Cup Tennis here on Saturday.
The pair lost the crucial doubles rubber 5-7, 2-6, 2-6 in World Group play-off.
Earlier, India had leveled against the world’s top team, when Somdev Devvarman claimed a 7-6 (3), 6-4, 6-3 win over 40th ranked Vesely in the second rubber contest at the R.K Khanna Stadium.
Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri will now play the next two reverse singles on Sunday.(ANI)
