New Delhi, April 04: India and Thailand will discuss “wide-ranging” international, regional and bilateral issues with a focus on enhancing the trade and security ties when Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will hold talks with his counterpart Manmohan Singh here tomorrow.
On his maiden visit to India, Vejjajiva, who will be arriving on a day long visit tomorrow, will discuss with Singh ways to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries which share a common maritime boundary and have seen a robust expansion of its trade and economic ties.
Noting that bilateral trade grew by six times in the last 10 years and last year it crossed USD 6.6 billion, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vishnu Prakash said, “The economy and trade relations does constitute one of the important elements of the relationship (between two countries)…In fact last year it (bilateral trade) saw a spike of 34 per cent.
