New Delhi, February 08:Russia today signed a joint venture with India focussing on avionics and processors of frontline fighter aircraft like Sukhoi-30 and Mig-29 in Bangalore, two days before the beginning of Aero India show there.
The joint venture was signed between Russian defence firm Rosoboronexport and Axis Aerospace Technologies (AAT), an Indian company dealing into aerospace technologies.
Besides the existing frontline aircraft, the venture would also cater to the aircraft like MiG-35.
“The JV would focus on creation of cutting-edge technology for aerospace and defence applications in addition to design, production and integration of avionics systems,” announced the companies.
“This JV, once formed, would be the perfect vehicle to support indigenous efforts to develop, support and upgrade avionics and other types of equipment for Russian origin defense product, which would continue to be the dominant factor in Indian defense for the years to come.
