New Delhi, Sept. 12 : The Director General level talks between Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers ended here on Saturday with both sides agreeing on constant endeavour to maintain peaceful and tranquil borders.
Both sides have mutually agreed to hold the next DG-level talks in the first half of 2016 in Pakistan.
A joint record of discussion, charting a future road map of cooperation was signed between the two border guarding forces.
The incidents of firing at the borders, smuggling of narcotics, infiltration attempts and defence construction activities were discussed during the meeting.
The issue of people crossing over the border and a mechanism to facilitate their return was also discussed.
BSF Director General DK Pathak had yesterday said that he was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting and added that the talks were cordial, pragmatic and forward-looking. (ANI)^
