India leads in Unani medicine – World Unani League meeting

Hyderabad: The scientific session of World Unani League was held at Urdu Maskan yesterday. Dr. Amjadullah presided over the session. Unani scholars from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Kashmir and other states presented their research articles.

Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed in his research paper mentioned that Unani System of Medium has been recognized in America, Britain, UAE, South Africa and other countries. A sum of Rs. 500 crore have been allocated for Unani medicine in Malaysia.

Dr. Najeeb Jahan of National Institute of Advanced Medicine (Bangalore) in her paper told that research is being carried out with the help of modern technology in the process of preparation of Unani medicine.

Dr. Moiz Rabi (Tamil Nadu) presented an article on Heart Diseases. Hakeem Sadaquatullah, in his article mentioned the services of Hakeem Ajmal Khan.

A free mega medical camp was also held on this occasion. Hakeem Mohammed Ali Haider Yemeni welcomed the guests. More than 300 patients were examined.

The students of Al-Arif Unani Medical College, Bandlaguda, Dr. Khaja Badaruddin Siddiqui, Chairman of the organizing committee, Dr. Rafi Haider Shakeel, Dr. Rahman Khan, Dr. Minhaj, Dr. Vikhar and others took part in organizing the conference.
