New Delhi: India to the Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) next month in Delhi has invited Pakistan for a meet.
Pakistan is yet to confirm its participation, as per The Hindu reports.
The Ministers and heads of delegations of as many as 61 countries have been invited, and so far 38 confirmed their participation.
The international conference will be held from November 3 to 5, is being organised in collaboration with the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR.
4,000 from across India and 1,500 foreigners delegates would take part in the three-day AMCDRR conference, said a senior official.
PM Modi is closely monitoring the preparations.
So far, six AMCDRR conferences have been organised. India had also hosted the second AMCDRR in New Delhi in 2007.
