New Delhi, February 07:India today invited Austrian companies to set up base to produce for the market here as well as to use the market for exports.
Suggesting this to a Parliamentary delegation from Austria, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said India stands to benefit from the high-end technical knowhow possessed by that country.
Bansal told the 10-member delegation led by Barbara Prammer, president of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament, that increased interaction among Parliamentarians as well as the people of the two countries would open up new opportunities for a mutually beneficial engagement.
He also called for greater synergy between the scientific communities and research institutes of India and Austria.
Recalling the warm relations between the two democracies, Bansal made a special mention of Austria’s support to the candidature of India for the non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
