New Delhi: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Indian Intelligence security agencies have issued a high alert of possible terror attacks that could strike on Republic Day across the nation.
As per Intel inputs, the Pakistani terrorists are planning to carry out similar attacks like the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in seven different states.
According to the sources, “Intelligence Bureau (IB) in its latest alert has mentioned a host of intelligence inputs that suggest terror outfits operating from Pakistan are planning multiple terrorist attack.”
The MHA has directed Director General’s of States (DGPs) as well as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to stay on high alert on all airborne crafts, helicopters, drones, open grounds for operations, airports and beef up CISF security in all major cities to avert the possible attack ahead of republic Celebrations.
According to MHA advisory, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI along with Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, Al Qaeda and Jaish-e-Mohammed-fidayeens and other members of sleeper cells are activated ahead of Republic Celebrations.
A senior CISF official said, “The force has increased the number of personnel deployed at all domestic and international airports,” adding that security has been tightened on all arrivals and departures of all domestic as well as international arrivals.
The recent arrest of a suspected militant Bilal Ahmad Wani from Shatabdi Express on Sunday by UP’s ATS revealed the blueprint of the terror attack, reported Newsnation.
