India for good ties but Pak promoting terrorism: Gadkari

New Delhi : Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday dubbed the reports circulating in the Pakistan media that India is indulging in ‘vicious propaganda’ against Islamabad in wake of the Pathankot terror attack as ‘extremely unfortunate’ and said that New Delhi wants to establish good ties with all neighbouring countries.

“It is very unfortunate that Pakistan is making such statements over the Pathankot attack. Our government and especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi have tried to maintain good relations with Pakistan. We want to build healthy relationship with all our neighboring countries,” Gadkari told ANI en-route to Siliguri.

“But unfortunately Pakistan promotes terrorism and exports terrorists in our country,” he added.

Trashing Pakistan media reports describing the attack as a ‘drama’ following a five-day visit by a Joint Investigation Team (JIT), the Indian authorities said that it pointed to the double-speak of the Pakistani military establishment and government.

Sources in the NIA described the media reports as a total concoction and the said there is an element in Pakistan which wants to create confusion but India will not fall into such a trap.

The NIA also dismissed the Pakistan JIT’s reported claim that it did not get cooperation from the Indian authorities. (ANI)
