Mumbai: Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh today said India does not distinguish between countries when it comes to doing business and is at ease with any nation since it is not biased.
“India can do business with the US as well as with Russia. Similarly, we can do business with Saudi Arabia and Iran at the same time because we do not bring out biases in it,” Singh said at the valedictory address on ‘Aligning foreign policy why domestic interests’ at The Gateway of India Geoeconomic Dialogue organised by city based Gateway House.
“We are removing the bottlenecks in the development process so that we can partner with foreign firms easily.
The commercial officer in every embassy is helping the Indian states for tapping their business opportunities. It was not there earlier,” Singh said.
“Though our founding fathers had the vision, there was somewhere a lacuna. It has been changed in last two and half years.
There is a deep feeling of linking India’s foreign policy with domestic growth,” said the minister.
India is equally benefitting from foreign tie ups along with the foreign partners. All these decisions were taken in the first year of government formation and results have started coming out, Singh said
