India downplays General Sharif’s ‘Pak and Kashmir are inseparable’ remark

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday avoided commenting on Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif’s statement that ‘Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable’ and said that he would not like to give value to such remarks.

“I don’t want to give value to such statement by responding to it,” Rijiju said.

The Dawn quoted General Sharif as saying that Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable, and that Kashmir is ‘an unfinished agenda of partition’.

“Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of partition, Pak and Kashmir are inseparable. While we wish peace, stability in region, we want Kashmir’s,” tweeted Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asim Bajwa.

General Sharif also accused India of supporting terrorism to stoke ‘sub-conventional conflicts’ in Pakistan. (ANI)
