New Delhi, December 01: Indian Government on Wednesday denied visa to former Pakistan President and Military Chief, General Pervez Musharraf to visit India.
Musharraf was invited by Young’s President Organization. He was to travel to India to attend a seminar.
Sources close to Home Ministry revealed that government has not given any reason for the denial.
However some other sources said that the Government of India doubted Musharraf’s real intentions of visiting India. He was planning to stage a comeback in Pakistan politics.
After ruling Pakistan for nine years, Musharraf was forced to quit power in 2008 following democratic elections. Since then he has been living in exile in London.
Musharaff had launched his political party, called All-Pakistan Muslim League (APML), in Oct 2010 and revealed his wish to return to Pakistan.
