New Delhi: India on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province that left 27 security personnel dead.
“Terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, is condemnable and perpetrators of such crimes should be brought to justice expeditiously and without distinction. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims, the people and government of Iran. We wish speedy recovery to those injured,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
A total of 27 Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel were killed and 13 wounded in the terror attack in the Iranian border province on Wednesday, the Public Relations Department of the IRGC’s Quds Headquarters said in a statement.
According to the statement, a bus carrying IRGC border guards who were on their way home after the end of a mission was targeted on Khash-Zahedan Road by a suicide bomber.
