India, China handling differences with maturity: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that maintenance of peace and tranquility on the India-China border indicates “sensitivity and maturity” with which the two countries handle their differences.

Earlier today, Gen. Wei Fenghe, State Councillor and Defence Minister of China, called on Prime Minister Modi.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the increased momentum of high-level contacts between India and China in all spheres, including in the areas of defence and military exchanges.

Prime Minister Modi also warmly recalled his recent meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Wuhan, Qingdao and Johannesburg.
