New Delhi, November 26: The Indian and New Zealand cricket teams arrived here on Friday for the first match of the one-day series, scheduled from November 28 at the Nehru Stadium.
Both the teams arrived by a chartered flight at the Lokopriyo Gopinath International Airport where they were accorded a traditional welcome before being driven to their respective hotels amid tight security.
The Indian team was staying at the Hotel Landmark while the New Zealanders have been put up at Hotel Nakshatra.
Both the teams were scheduled to practise at the Nehru Stadium on Friday afternoon, Assam Cricket Association Secretary Bikash Barua said.
The teams were scheduled to play the first of the five-match series at Nehru Stadium on Sunday with the Indian squad being led by Gautam Gambhir after MS Dhoni was given a break.
