Indefinite auto-strike from Jan 17

More than 20 auto-unions of the state staged a strong protest against rising prices of gas and petrol. They alleged that government has failed in restraining the rising prices. They announced indefinite auto strike from January 17 against rising prices.

Addressing the press conference organized by SMS, the leaders of auto drivers union demanded a fare revision, exemption from police e-challan system, exemption from 8th class pass condition to obtain driving license and establishment of welfare board for auto-drivers. They plan to gherao Chief minister and transport minister.

Union leaders termed Kiran Kumar Reddy administration as the anti-auto drivers. President TADJAC Mohammed Amanullah Khan, M A Saleem, Meraj Rafath Baig Auto Owners Assoicaiton and others were present on the occasion.
