Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has today suspended its indefinite auto bandh call on its first and announced that the bandh would resume as and when the drivers get ready to fight unitedly for their rights. IT may be mentioned here that the JAC had given an indefinite strike call from today demanding action against Ola and Uber cab companies for their illegal activities, withdrawal of auto permit cancellation order and fixation of the existing auto fares on par with the other neighboring states.
Mohd Amanullah Khan, K. Lakshmi Narasaiah, M.A Saleem and Mirza Rafath Baig leaders of the committee in a joint press statement said that despite the fact that the other auto unions in the city not joing the strike more than 60% of the autos went off the roads today. So much so that, the Secunderand and Nampally Railway Stations auto drivers observed to total bandh due to which the traveling public were pur to great inconvenience.
Further , they said that the auto bandh is being suspended in order to avoid possible disputes and quarrels among the auto drivers on the question of plying and stopping the autos. (NSS)
