Revenue Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy today felt that people’s apathy towards the ruling party was natural as the Congress remained in power in the State as well as at the Centre for ten years.
Speaking at ninth death anniversary function of former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao at Anantapur Congress Committee office on Monday, Raghuveera Reddy said late Narasimha Rao had ably served the party as well as the country for a long time. Though late P V Narasimha Rao steered the minority government for full term, the minister lamented that the former Prime Minister could not get even party ticket in 1998 to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
