Incubation agreements signed at UoH

The Technology Incubation & Development of Entrepreneurship (TIDE) at University of Hyderabad (UoH) signed incubation agreements with three start-up companies here on Wednesday.

The TIDE-UoH is providing seed funding as part of the incubation support. In addition, they are entitled to use of infrastructure facilities, business incubation support and technical mentoring by the University faculty.

The function was chaired by Prof Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor and presentations were made by Coordinator, TIDE and Coordinator, TBI (Technology Business Incubator).  The TIDE and TBI are recognized incubators in the Start-up India initiative of the Government of India. Prof. Appa Rao emphasized commitment of the University to building an eco-system to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

As for the main activities of these companies, Neoscript Technologies Pvt Ltd (www.neoscript.com) is a platform aimed at improving the consistency and efficiency in learning quality of codes by providing automated evaluation and timely feedback.  Sapphire Technologies LLP with its platform www.ekgeo.com is a real social media that redefines the present social networking built on the principle of radio, radar and broadcasting. Aapka Painter Solutions Pvt Ltd (www.aapkapainter.com) has set itself the mission to streamline the entire painting process and standardize experience of getting spaces painted through technology integration and with focus on service delivery.

TIDE-UoH is a University of Hyderabad initiative supported by the Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurship Programme of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) of the Government of India. Its aim is to enable young entrepreneurs to initiate technology startup companies for commercial exploitation of technologies developed by them.  The initiative encourages its own students, alumni, faculty and non-teaching members into entrepreneurship but it is open to such applications from other start-ups as well. The University envisions expansion of such incubation activities into other technology domains as well as into social and creative entrepreneurship. (INN)
