Increase Vijaya Dairy products sale : Talasani tells officials

Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today instructed officials to surpass the private dairies through a special plan to promote and increase the sales of Vijaya Dairy products in the state. He asked them to conduct a wide ranging publicity about the government dairies and ensure that the products are sold better than that of the private ones. Special plan should ensure immediate sale of Viyaja Dairies products by setting them across the state in the city including malls, bus stands, railway stations, colleges, schools and government offices and national highways and other places with heavy density of people. Let all the government offices get the Vijaya Dairy products and extend the same at the national highways as the products sale is better in other states also Srinivas Yadav said. Marketing wing has to make special efforts to speed up the process of setting up a number of Vijaya Dairy outlets at a maximum number of places and increase the sales through a special action plan. He conducted a review meeting on Vijaya Dairy, Buffalo scheme and related issues. The minister also asked the officials to address the issue of staff and vehicles to promote the sale of Vijaya Dairy products in a better manner.

Collectors to get Buffalo scheme funds

Srinivas Yadav said that district collectors will get funds into their accounts in about two days to start buffalo scheme on August 1. The officials were asked to prepare a plan to start buffalo distribution scheme in August first week and market additional milk products in near future in the state. As said earlier the buffalo distribution will be taken up in August first week and make elaborate arrangements for the same. Guidelines have already been issued in this regard and ensure 75 per cent subsidy to SC, ST beneficiaries who have to share Rs 20000 and 50 per cent to BCs against the unit cost of Rs 80000 and share Rs 40000 towards contribution. Dairies chairmen and officials have to take up awareness among beneficiaries in this regard he said. (NSS)
