Increase in Population leads to climate change

There are many reasons for climate change, one of them is excess of population. This view was expressed by Prof. Y. T. Lee Taiwan at Jubilee Hall on the occasion of Dr. M. Channa Reddy Memorial Lecture on “Transfer towards bright future” yesterday.

Due to increase in population, climate change and global warming is being recorded. At international level, growth of industry is also polluting the atmosphere. Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr. K. Rosaiah presided over the lecture. Nobel Laureate, Prof. Lee told that seeing the changes in water reservoirs, we should also change. By minimizing pollution, we should extend our cooperation. As long as everyone living on this earth does not recognize his share in forming the pollution free atmosphere, the dream of bright future will remain only a dream. Prof. Lee told that if we avoid changes and if we continue to promote pollution, the coming generations will not forgive us. There is a need for Human Beings for positive reforms which enable us to face environmental challenges. The only way to improve the standard of atmosphere is to minimize pollution.

Prof. Lee also told that the engagements and activities of man are causing to change the system of the earth which is causing damages to our health.

Earlier, Mr. M. Shashidhar Reddy, Secretary Dr. N. Channa Reddy Memorial Trust and Chairman of National Disaster Management in his welcome speech, paid a tribute to Dr. M. Channa Reddy. Prof. Harish Gupta introduced the guest speaker.

In his presidential address, Dr. Rosaiah paid a rich tribute to Mr. M. Channa Reddy. Mr. M. Ravendra Reddy, Chairman of Dr. MCR Memorial Trust and other were present on this occasion.
