Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali directed the officials of Waqf Board to accept representation of local people in Dargah Hazrat Barhana Shah Committee.
A delegation of local people led by senior citizen Wahed Khan called on Deputy Chief Minister and complained about inclusion of controversial and non-concerned persons in the newly formed committee. The delegation told that the previous committee was dissolved by the Waqf Board due to various irregularities but the new committee formed also have non local persons and the president of the committee faces multiple charges.
The delegation informed that Waqf Board approved the committee on the pressure of local political party which angered local people. Deputy Chief Minister directed Secretary Minority Welfare and Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board to review the complaints and take necessary action.
