New Delhi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI) Chairman Imran Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Friday.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that both leaders welcomed the recent development in bilateral relations.
“They welcomed recent developments in bil relations & expressed hope that these would lead 2 closer cooperative ties btween the 2 countries,” MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
During the meeting, Khan also invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Pakistan.
The meeting comes a couple of days after India and Pakistan decided to resume Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue to reduce tensions between the two nations on the sidelines of a conference on Afghanistan in Islamabad.
Khan is on a two-day visit to India during which he will attend a conference on India-Pakistan relations. (ANI)
