Imposter held for posing as IAS officer

Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths have arrested a fake IAS officer who conned several people by promising to provide tickets to special puja at Tirupati temple. It is said that H Venkat Ramna Rao informed Narasimha Charyulu, priest of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Ziaguda on phone that he is an IAS officer belonging to Madhya Pradesh cadre and he was very much impressed by his puja. The pseudo officer told the priest that he has influence over Tirupati temple administration and can provide tickets for the special puja.

The priest and many of his disciples happily latched on to the offer given to them by Venkataramana and deposited Rs 13 lakh in his Axis Bank account for the necessary fee. Venkataramana fled after withdrawing the amount.
