An All party protest dharna was staged at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park demanding implementation of Right To Education (RTE) Act in Telangana state. Senior Communist leader and ex-MP Rajya Sabha Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, CPIM Telangana State Secretary Veerabhadram, Chairman Telangana Joint Action Committee Prof. Kodandaram, MBT leader Amjadullah Khan, President MPJ Maulana Hamed Mohammed Khan, Mazhar Husain COVA, Muneer Patel Vice President Insaf Telangana state and a large number of leaders belonging to various social organisations participated in the protest dharna and demanded implementation of RTE Act in Telangana.
Addressing the protest dharna senior Communist leader Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha told that despite clear orders by Supreme Court, private educational institutions are avoiding implementation of RTE Act. He informed that corporate educational institutions are required to provide 25 percent reservations to poor and economically backward students. He claimed that non-implementation of the Act tantamount to violation of court orders and depriving poor students of their right.
