Hyderabad: Dy. CM who is also incharge of Revenue Department told the Assembly yesterday that so far, Govt. issued 1.25 lakh patta certificate to the persons who were illegally in possession of Govt. land. He further told that wherever Govt. land is available, Govt. would allot patta certificates to landless persons. He informed that this scheme is being implemented as per the GO Ms 58 and 59. Govt. got Rs. 261 crore and 29 lakh income in this scheme. Opposition members made a complaint that the process of releasing patta certificates is being delayed for the poor persons.
