(Siasat News) With the enhancement of 62% budget allocation for 2012-13, it has been possible for the Dept. of Minorities Welfare to implement many welfare scheme which could not be implemented earlier for want of funds.
Amount for scholarship has been increased from Rs. 80 crore to Rs. 96 crore. Fees reimbursement scheme will be implemented with Rs. 220 crore. Residential schools for girls will get Rs. 3.21 crore. Earlier it was only Rs. 3 crore.
A.P. Christians finance corporation gets Rs. 50 lakh instead of Rs. 28 lakh last year. A.P. State Finance Corporation was getting Rs. 6 crore for the implementation of various schemes. Now it will get Rs. 25.33 creore. Dairatul Maarif gets Rs. 1.25 crore instead of Rs. 75 lakh of last year’s allocation. The budget of Urdu Academy has been raised from Rs. 3.5 crore to Rs. 5.35 crore. Grant for Wakf Board has been raised from Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 80 lakh.
Haj committee gets Re. One crore this year. The budget allocation for Center for Educational Development of Minorities got three times increase in its budget. It will now get Rs. 2 crore. Margin money for bank loans has been increased from Rs. 11.05 crore to Rs. 25 crore.
There is a no increase in the Welfare schemes of Minorities Finance Corporation. It remains at Rs. 5 crore only. For the construction of hostels and residential schools an amount of Rs. 35 crore has been allocated. Urdu Academy gets Rs. 2 crore for the construction of Urdu Ghar and Marriage Halls. For Dudekula Cooperative Society Rs. 50 lakh has been provided. Rs. 489 crore has been provided for the welfare activities of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare during the next financial year.
