Impact of Siasat write-up: Prayer offered in 450 yr old uninhabited Masjid Mulla Khayali, Golconda

Hyderabad, December 8: Some Muslim youth of Golconda with religious spirit offered prayers at an uninhabited mosque on Babri Masjid demolition day and Yaum-e-Ashura and sent the message of Hazrat Imam-e-Husain to the world that no work is as important and lovable than propagation of Allah’s religion.

Muslim students undertook the task of rehabilitating a 450 year old mosque Mulla Khayali which had been uninhabited and locked since long and started cleaning the premises. This mosque is under archeological survey of India. The mosque premises is being shrunk due to the gradually increasing domain of the Hyderabad Golf Club. Now the situation is such that if anyone has to go to the mosque he has to go through the Golf club. Besides this the club workers note down each vehicle number entering inside the premises.

Inside the ground is the 450 year old Mullah Khayali mosque, the masterpiece of architectural beauty. Motivated by the Siasat’s campaign for uninhabited mosque the religious spirit of Muslim students of Golconda woke up and they decided to rehabilitate the mosque. Thus by offering prayer on Yaum-e-Ashura and Babri Masjid demolition day they moved the first step towards rehabilitating abandoned mosques.
