A large number of Muslims performed Friday prayers under the shade of tents at the parking lot of Shamsabad international airport. Congress leader Khaleequr Rahman and his friends were also present on the occasion.
It must be noted that despite scorching heat airport administration was not allowing to set up tents on the occasion of Friday prayers. Masjid Omer Farooq was demolished at the time of construction of airport. As there was no shade Muslims were facing difficulty in performing prayers.
Congress leader Khaleequr Rahman who was performing prayers for the past 3 weeks brought tents from Banjara Hills and set up the tents at the parking lot of Shamsabad airport under his supervision. It must be recalled that Siasat daily had called political parties attention by publishing several reports highlighting the difficulties faced by the musallis.
