Impact of Siasat news: MFC chairman admits non-payment of fee-reimbursement of differently abled student Zakir Pasha

Hyderabad: After the publication of news in Siasat daily, the Minority Finance Corporation admitted that Zakir Pasha who has lost both hands has not been paid the fee-reimbursement amount for the past two years. Corporation Managing Director M A Waheed handed over the details of last 3 years payment of fee-reimbursement. He told that the fee was not withheld due to non-availability of fingerprints. The application was accepted on the basis of Aadhaar link as the youth has lost his hands.

Zakir Pasha S/O Shaikh Baba belongs to Kaghaz Nagar, Asifabad. He is doing B.Com Computer course from Vasundhara Degree College. He had applied for scholarship and fee-reimbursement on June 26, 2015. However, he was not paid fee-reimbursement amount for the 2nd and 3rd year as the approval has not been received so far and thousands of students are worried over the delay. Especially students of professional colleges face pressure from the college administration.

M A Waheed clarified that after the formation of Telangana, fee-reimbursement and scholarship schemes have been shifted to Directorate Minority welfare from Minority Finance Corporation. He said as soon as the budget is released by the government, Zakir Pasha will also get the remaining amount along with other students.
