Hyderabad, November 22: This mosque was introduced to the readers on September 22 2011 under the heading “food for thought for Muslims”. The waqf record of Shaikpet Sarai Qutub Shahi mosque is as follows: Hyd/492, Dargah Sharey Masjid Gairabad Chowkandi Graves and sarai (s-2) shaikpet, ward-8, area sq.yard 9815.0 gaz No.26-c, sl No.192, gaz –date 01-07-1982, page no.37.
Masjid dargah Shareef sarai is on nearly 10000 sqyds and is under archeological department since it is given heritage status. Hence the work of this precious land’s boundary has been completed and work in dargah and mosque is in full swing. The significant part of it is that the construction work is completely done by mortar since the old historical buildings were built with mortar and to restore its original condition this material is used.
The initiative taken by archeological department is praiseworthy which has sanctioned a budget of 1 crore 30 lakh rupees for Qutub Shahi Dargah Shareef Sarai. Now it is our duty to rehabilitate the mosques which are near to our houses.
