Impact of Siasat news: charitable persons arrange for installments of octogenarian Hajj aspirants

A report was published by special correspondent in Siasat daily on the tragedy befallen upon the elderly Hajj aspirants Baderunnisa and Hafiz Shaikh Naseer. A self-styled journalist Syed Viqaruddin took Rs. 167850 from them and escaped. This was the amount that the elderly duo had to pay for the second installment of Hajj pilgrimage at Hajj committee office on October 15, without which they could not go for the holy pilgrimage.

The octogenarian couple reached Siasat office and narrated their distressing story to editor Siasat Mr. Zahed Ali Khan. They told that 38 year old Syed Viquaruddin resident of Saidabad posed himself as media consultant and editor of a news agency and ran off with the amount and left for Hajj with his mother.

The woman told that she had saved every penny by teaching Arabic to students so that they can go for the holy pilgrimage. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan comforted them. And after the publication of the report in Siasat, two charitable persons arranged for the second installment just to seek pleasure of Allah. After that 3 more persons reached Siasat office with the amount but they were told that the money has been arranged.
