Hyderabad, April 29: With reference to the news published in Siasat dated April 12, Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Ahmed Ullah forwarded a letter to Chief Minister Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Home Minister Mrs. Sabitha Indira Reddy and chief secretary S V Prasad besides DGP and drew their attention towards the critical issue.
It was stated in Siasat daily that communalism has also emerged in the police department and Muslim employees’ beard rankles top police officials of the districts. At some places Muslim police force is forced to refrain from Islamic principles.
Mr. Ahmed Ullah made it clear that as per Indian constitution every citizen is independent to follow his religion completely. Such a pressure on Muslim minorities and that too in police department is not tolerable.
He demanded a probe into the behaviour of top police officials of Mahboob Nagar, Adilabad, Medak and Nalgonda districts towards Muslim police employees and stringent action against the perpetrators.
