Hyderabad, November 19: 400 year old Masjid Omer, Gulshan Iqbal colony Seven Tombs has been rehabilitated with the help of local youth. Friday prayers were offered in the mosque yesterday. Nearly 250 youth took part in the virtuous deed.
Siasat daily started publishing write-ups regarding uninhabited mosques since September 15, 2011 owing to which by the grace of God innumerable mosque have been rehabilitated so far. Siasat daily brought to the fore 65 uninhabited mosque in this connection.
Locals said that this mosque has been rehabilitated by the courageous and religious youth which is the result of publication of photos and write-ups of uninhabited mosques in Siasat daily. Residents of Gulshan Iqbal colony Seven Tombs thanked Mr. Zahed Ali Khan for this.
Masjid Omer which has been rehabilitated yesterday was totally hidden in the bushes. The local youth cleaned it and offered Asr and Maghrib prayers besides Friday prayers.
The aim of Siasat daily is not to work for any organization, individual or any party but to wake up the Muslim community for religious spirit.
