In response to the outraged slaughter of 30 Ethiopian Christians by IS militants, Franklin Graham is demanding the United States “halt all immigration of Muslims” from any countries “that have active terrorist cells.”
In a Facebook post on Monday, Graham wrote, “We learned yesterday that Ethiopian Christians were beheaded by ISIS in Libya. Once again we are reminded of the brutality that emanates from Islam. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Ethiopian families who have lost their sons, their fathers, their husbands, their brothers-we are praying for you. I was just In Ethiopia a few weeks ago and met with some of the wonderful Christians there. This will only strengthen their faith. Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against His church.”
Franklin Graham, the son of famed evangelical preacher Billy Graham who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, also wants the government to take “immediate military action” to mortify ISIS.
“We should make sure our government and the current administration recognizes Islam for the danger it is, and that they are doing all they can to work against it,”
“Our government needs to immediately look at immigration reform to halt all immigration of Muslims from countries that have active terrorist cells — the threat this poses to our nation is huge and could end up costing thousands of lives in the future if we don’t act now.”
“The influence of radical Islam is spreading, not diminishing,” he writes, urging supporters to write lawmakers in Congress “to express your concern and outrage — and ask them to take action.”
Graham’s comments were made just after ISIS released a 30-minute video, titled “Until There Came to Them Clear Evidence,”
