Hyderabad, March 21: A fellowship course in practical cardiology, being offered jointly by the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences and the Indian Medical Association College of General Practitioners, was inaugurated by IMA National Leaders Forum chairman Dr N Appa Rao here yesterday.
Addressing the gathering, Appa Rao said that they would be promptly working with the governments to meet the needs of poor patients while providing better medical services at lower prices. The fellowship courses would help professionals in providing better medical service to the needy patients, he said and added that the IMACGP had initiated a one-year fellowship course in diabetology and provided proper training for 61 doctors last year. “The IMA CGP intends to start its activities with the MRCGP examination (Royal College of London University) in April and May this year. The Part-I and Part-II examinations will be conducted in Hyderabad and all examiners will come from London,’’ he said.
Dr Bhaskar Rao, chief executive officer of KIMS, explained the features of the IMACGP fellowship course.
