An illegal structure on road divider at Shaikhpet is being gradually transformed into a temple. At first a flag was erected on the spot, then a platform was constructed and now it is being tried to give it the form of a temple. There was no structure on the spot before October 2012 however in October 2012 a small platform was made right in the middle of green carpet grass on the road divider. Then the saffron flags were erected. After two weeks the platform was also given saffron colour and a big saffron flag was erected. After a month the platform was further expanded and now expanding the platform further photo of Shivaji has been placed on it. This has worried local secular people. They say that if the platform is transformed into a temple (which is most likely) it will create unending traffic jam problems.
Surprisingly police sub control room is located at the same place but police is taking no action against the illegal activities carried out right under its nose.
